Aaron Anderson, Manager
Aaron is originally from Courtland, KS where he grew up in the Ag Retail Fertilizer and Chemical business that his dad owned. After graduating from Kansas State in 1997 with a degree in Agronomy, he moved to South East Indiana where he worked as a chemical rep for American Cyanamid.
He moved back to Kansas in 2000 and became the chemical manager and agronomist for Garden City Coop. He was then hired on with Nutrien Ag Solutions (UAP at the time) as a wholesale rep. He spent 19 years with the company in varying roles including Proprietary Products Manager, Retail Manager and Wholesale Marketing Manager. Aaron Founded APEX AG in July of 2020 and brings 24 years of experience with him. In his spare time, Aaron enjoys golf, hunting, hiking and flying airplanes.
Duane Harshbarger, Distribution Manager
Duane grew up in Hillsboro, Indiana, where he was introduced to agriculture on his Grandparents farms. In 1982 he moved to Monte Vista, Colorado, where he graduated high school. In 1986 he moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming and in 1989 graduated from Western Wyoming Community College with a degree in Accounting and married Lynn.
In 1989 he moved back to Indiana and started working at Terra International as an Office Manager. In 2004 he started working for Crop Production Services as Assistant Manager at the Attica location. He moved to Garden City, Kansas in 2007 to start a warehouse to serve the newly acquired Collingwood Grain locations. In 2008 he became the Distribution Center Manager with the CPS purchase of UAP.
Nick Jacobs, Seed Manager
Nick was born and raised in Jetmore, KS, he grew up helping his grandfather and various farmers with farming operations through High School. He attended Garden City Community College and played tight end on the football team. From there he received his degree in Agribusiness from Kansas State University. In 2012 he began his work as a seed salesman for Eastern Colorado Seed. In 2015 he transitioned to a position with Nutrien Ag Solutions (formerly Crop Production Services) as Wholesale Seed Manager.
When Nutrien purchased Drussel Seed and Supply in 2017, Nick managed that location along with continuing his responsibilities as wholesale seed manager. Nick brings 8+ years of experience with him and helped build APEX AG in July 2020. Nick resides in Cimarron KS and enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 kids, as well as, hunting, trap shooting, and going to the lake.
